This upcoming spring Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie will welcome a new baby boy to their family. From Lizzie McGuire to a pop singing sensation and now a married mother-to-be, Hilary Duff still keeps up with the latest trends and styles throughout her pregnancy. Duff tells US Weekly, “It’s better to wear tighter things” Since announcing her pregnancy she has continued to flaunt her belly and still manages to squeeze into a pair of skinny jeans and clingy tops to show off her baby bump. And don’t forget her best friend, the stiletto! Duff keeps it classy and sexy while her baby bump continues to grow and somehow is still able to strut her stuff( as well as her growing baby boy within her) in a pair of 4in heels. You go Hilary!
Although Duff’s outfits vary from comfort to more glamorous depending on the event she sticks to wearing a tight fitted bottom (and although she has been seen with plenty of clingy tops at first) further into her pregnancy many loose tops have been popping up. As she explained to US Weekly, “”And now that you start to show I think it’s better to wear tighter things, but it’s kind of a challenge to find things!” Either way tight or loose top, Hilary Duff’s pregnancy style makes being pregnant not about all the weight gain but just how sexy you can still be while you’re waiting for your new bundle of joy to arrive.
If you like Hilary Duff’s style and want to recreate her pregnancy look here are a few tips:
- Fitted Bottom- Although many of us are unable to squeeze into our favorite skinny jeans there are still plenty of other options. Duff has also been seen wearing lots of leggings, tights and yoga pants to still keep her fitted bottom look. These are all very comfortable (and stretchable) and can be dressed up by wearing a tight dress with leggings or dressed down with an over-sized shirt and a pair of yoga pants.
- Accessorize- One of the big reoccurrences in all of Duff’s outfits is her great use of accessories. Every outfit is adorned with a long simple necklace, big earrings or bangles around her wrists. To recreate this look mix and match a variety of bangles and wear either a long necklace with a big design or a pair of big, dangling earrings.
- Shoes, Shoes, Shoes- If you’re not the type to wear stilettos daily like Duff, I wouldn’t suggest you start now, but get some interesting flats to add to your wardrobe. Prints and splashes of color to your feet can really bring some glam to your outfits. If you’re feet get swollen during your pregnancy flats can be quite expandable and to add some extra comfort you can get a pair of Dr.Scholls’ gel inserts.
Keep on looking sexy while you’re expecting and still be comfortable!
